Chelsea and Arsenal go head-to-head on Instagram, Burnley show signs of life

December 2 – New Instagram followers to Premier League clubs increased again this week, though only marginally to 282,000 from 276,000. There are now more than 42.8 million Instagram followers to Premier League clubs.

Manchester United again accounted for a big bulk of the growth, showing a new follower increase of 0.67%  – 97,700 compared to a growth last week of 78,300.

Chelsea again showed increased growth numbers, this week from 42,900 to 47.500 – an uplift of 0.61%.

Arsenal were also up by 42,700 from 40,780, an overall growth of 0.52%

In terms of percentage growth only, Burnley is top with a growth of 1.96%, even though in real terms it is only 1,100 new followers.

Hill City is second top with a growth of 1.68% giving them 854 new followers this week.

Chelsea noticeably has a bigger impact on Facebook (53.6K growth)  and Instagram (47.5K growth)  than Twitter (21.8K growth).

Man Utd follows this pattern too: Facebook – 90.9K, Instagram – 97.7K, and Twitter – 50.4K. Though Man utd are top of every single social media platform both weekly and overall.
