March 13 – Premier League Liverpool have added a new official partner with Halewood Wines and Spirits joining the club’s sponsorship roster.
Halewood are a proudly Liverpool-based distillers and make the Liverpool Gin and Liverpool Vodka brands. The partnership with the club is the marketing spearhead of a move to expand sales internationally and increase brand recognition. The company expects to create more jobs as a result.
Stewart Hainsworth, group CEO of Halewood Wines and Spirits, said: “Halewood has grown up in Liverpool, we’re proud to be here and want to use our growing high-quality spirits portfolio, alongside one of the world’s best football teams, to put an even brighter spotlight on the city.”
No figure was announced for the three and a half year deal that starts immediately. Marketing activation will initially be through digital marketing and social media channels as well as promotions. Halewoood’s brands will be available thoughout the Anfield stadium.
Halewood has also become a match sponsor of the Liverpool FC Legends v Real Madrid Legends event, which will take place at Anfield on Saturday March 25.
