West Ham nail attendance table top slot and first win of the season

September 12 –  A stunning nine out of 10 Premier League teams reported home stadium capacities of more than 95% at the weekend with West Ham topping the table with just 23 seats unfilled for their Monday night first win of the season against Huddersfield.

The Monday night fixture was West Ham’s first home match of the season, having been unable to get into their London Stadium until it had been reconfigured following the world athletics championships in August.

While the Hammers celebrated being at home, Burnley celebrated their second home win of the season but were short of bodies at the party with 3,684 seats unfilled in their 22,500 capacity stadium – by far the lowest capacity percentage of Premier League clubs this round.

Insideworldfootball figures are taken from the official stadium capacity figures and the official reported attendance figures. They do not take account of seats lost to media or safety requirements.
