January 9 – Neymar, Lionel Messi and Harry Kane are the highest priced items in an analysis of current transfer values. 13 players from the Premier League clubs make up the top 20 places.
The evaluation by the CIES Football Observatory looks at the transfer values of players in the five major European leagues taking into account key criteria including age, position, contract duration, performance, and international status.
Neymar top the list with a €213 million valuation ahead of Lionel Messi (€202 million) and Harry Kane (€195 million).
Kane is the highest placed of five players from the English Premier League in the top ten. The others are Dele Alli (6th), Kevin de Bruyne (7th), Romelu Lukaku(8th), and Paul Pogba (10th).
