CSL package DHL deal for another three years

January 10 – The Chinese Super League (CSL) has renewed its deal with international courier service DHL for a further three years.

The global logistics giant will offer its support to the Chinese top flight from 2018 to 2020. As a second-tier official partner will retain a range on pitchside and in-venue branding rights. DHL has been a partner of the CSL since 2014.

“We are pursuing the same brand spirit with DHL, which is speed, passion and teamwork,” said vice president of the Chinese Football Association Yu Hongchen. “The partnership with a globally-respected company like DHL will definitely help CSL to sustain its healthy growth momentum.”

The extension follows the launch of a new CSL sponsorship strategy for the next four years, which saw the creation of three tiers of partnerships. Last season Guangzhou Evergrande won a seventh CSL title, seeing off competition from Shanghai SIPG and Tianjin Quanjan.
