March 16 – UEFA has released ticketing detail for their showpiece Champions League final in Kiev Ukraine, on May 26.
The 63,000 capacity will be split with 17,000 tickets going to each finalist and 6,700 tickets going on sale to fans on uefa.com with applications being open March 15-22.
Prices are: Cat 1: €450, Category 2: €320, Category 3: €160, Category 4: €70, Accessibility tickets: €70 (ticket priced at Category 4 rate and one companion ticket provided for free), Youth package category: €140 (two Category 2 tickets – one adult and one youth – sold at discounted Category 4 rate).
While prices for the category 1 and 2 tickets have increased, UEFA says that prices in “category 3 and category 4 have stayed the same since UCLF 2012. Category 4 tickets are again available at a reasonable price (€70); similar pricing structure in the last five years.
“Prices for youth packages are comparably low: 140 euros for two category 2 tickets. The normal price for two category 2 tickets would be €640, i.e. there is a discount of €500, almost 80%.”
