May 16 – Never ones to be caught napping when it comes to commercial partnerships, Manchester United have renewed Chinese firm MLILY as the Club’s official mattress and pillow provider.
MLILY began its partnership with the club in 2016 not only promotionally but working with the club’s elite coaching staff and sports science team to create bespoke sleeping environments for each player. These product innovations that have been passed on to the everyday consumer, said a Manchester United press release.
MLILY has activated its sponsorship via events like the club’s #ILOVEUNITED fan event in New York, as well as working with United Ambassadors and Legends at trade shows in the UK and China.
MLILY’s CEO, James Ni said: “Since the international partnership, MLILY has seen profound growth across global markets. Domestically in China and amongst international markets sales have received significant boosts, and as a business our company has moved from strength to strength.”
Emphasising the benefits of working closely with the club MLILY’s Director of Marketing, Pomi Khan said: “We couldn’t be any happier. Brand awareness has been on the rise due to our collaborative efforts. From our work with the sports scientists at Manchester United to the players themselves enjoying our products with their families at home and also at the Aon Training Complex, we have made immense strides with our product development and innovations.”
No figure was given for the value of the partnership.
