Coca-Cola cuts new 5-year sponsorship deal with French FA

June 1 – The French Football Federation and Coca-Cola have agreed a five-year extension of their long-standing partnership taking them through to June 2023.

Coca-Cola has supported the FFF since 1997 and the new deal will see continued support from the soft-drinks giant for the French teams and the 15,000 French amateur clubs.

Noël Le Graët, President of the FFF commented on the extension, saying: “This five-year renewal of our partnership with Coca-Cola is a satisfaction. Coca-Cola is a globally known and shared brand. It’s historic commitment to the FFF in support of our teams in France and amateur football is important. It is also a sign of positive confidence in the Federation, its activities and actions.”

Coca Cola’s promotions during the World Cup will include a ‘Football Stories’ vertical, numerous quizzes on social media, and the unique ‘Barber football’ event to be held  June 16 to July 7 in Paris which will feature matches between supporters and the opportunity to have a hair cut in “football player style.”

François Gay Bellile, President of Coca-Cola France, said: “We are an historic partner of the French Football Federation and we are very proud to renew our commitment for the next 5 years. It’s an essential partnership for Coca-Cola because football is the most popular French sport. It allows us to connect and live strong emotions with our consumers whether it is through amateur football as we were able to do recently at eCOPA Coca-Cola but also through high-level football.”
