June 15 – LaLiga has Chinese automobile brand Dongfeng Fengguang as the Official China Regional Automobile Sponsor of LaLiga for the 2018-19 season.
Dongfeng Fengguang’s sponsorship activation will see it organise the nationwide, Fengguang LaLiga Youth Football Challenge tournament, invite LaLiga football stars to visit China, set up youth training camps for young players and select promising future stars from young Chinese players to visit and train in Spain.
Dongfeng Fengguang belongs to the Dongfeng Xiaokang Automobile Co which was established just 15 years ago.
No value was given for the one-year deal which will benefit from a strong Spanish performance at the World Cup but also the presence of 81 players from LaLiga playing for their countries.
