Socios.com builds capacity to push its blockchain solution into club market

August 22 – Socios.com, the blockchain technology that enables clubs to monetise their fan bases, has stepped up its push into the football business with the recruitment of Magnus Linder from Bettson to head club partnerships and business development.

Linder was head of brand media at Betsson Group where he spearheaded sponsorship deals with Manchester City and AC Milan.

He will take over the recruitment and “onboarding” of key partners to the Socios.com platform, developing the infrastructure within clubs and managing day-to-day relationships.

“Magnus is a fantastic addition to the team and will help Socios.com achieve our goals of taking fan engagement and fan monetisation within the sports and esports space to the next level,” said Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Mediarex, owner of the Socios.com platform.

Socios.com is a white label application of the chiliZ platform, offering a scalable, tokenised voting platform where fans can buy, trade and execute voting or ‘crowd managers’ rights in their favorite sport and esports teams.

The chiliZ project, also owned by Mediarex, has raised more than $66 million from he world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges and leading crypto funds in Asia, including Binance, OK Blockchain  Capital, Ceyuan Ventures and FBG Capital.
