August 28 – Concacaf has unveiled a new ranking system for its Women’s senior national teams in the region. The ranking tool will now update with each match result.
Developed by Concacaf in cooperation with Hypercube the new ranking formula is based on match results, with bonus points awarded to the performance of teams at World Cup tournaments.
Concacaf said it will implement a similar ranking procedure for both Men’s and Women’s Under-20 and Under-17 national teams.
The rankings are the key determinant for qualification and seeding for regional and international championships going forward.
