August 30 – Betway have added to their growing European football sponsorship portfolio by signing a three-year-deal to become Hannover 96’s official betting partner.
This sponsorship announcement follows hot on the heels of a similar deal that the leading online bookmaker struck with Fortuna Dusseldorf last week and increases their Bundesliga share to three teams, having been partners with four-time Bundesliga champions Werder Bremen since last August.
This continues the success that Betway have had in the last three years in securing sponsorship deals and partnerships with clubs across the continent, having been West Ham United’s principle sponsor since 2015.
Their global reach also extends to Belgium, with First Division A Anderlecht partners since 2016 and a sponsorship deal of the Croky Cup, the principle Cup competition in Belgium, that gives them exposure across the whole game in Belgium. Also on the Betway roster are Italian giants AS Roma, signed up in the summer despite the possibility of a ban on gaming sponsors in Italy, and three La Liga clubs in Deportivo Alaves, C.D. Leganés and Levante U.D.
Hannover 96, who have started their season with a draw in the Bundesliga and a big win in the DFB Cup, are looking forward to a successful partnership with Betway.

Betway’s Antony Werkman said: “The German market is very important to Betway, so I’m delighted to announce our second deal of the summer with a Bundesliga club.
“Hannover 96 is an established first league team and they’re another exciting side to be involved with. We’re looking forward to the coming seasons in what will hopefully work out to be a great partnership for the club, the fans and us.”
No value was given for the deal.
