Liverpool adds TigerWit as global ForEx trading partner

September 18 – Liverpool has added global financial technology company, TigerWit, as its Official Online Foreign Exchange Trading Partner in a two-year deal. No value was given for the sponsorship.

Headquartered in the UK, TigerWit’s core markets are the UK, Europe and Asia. The firm will use the sponsorship to drive its newly launched blockchain-based trading app via brand awareness in target markets as well as via packages of hospitality and matchday sponsorship.

A team commercial featuring Naby Keita, Allison Becker and Georginio Wijnaldum was released yesterday.

TigerWit, CEO, Tim Hughes, said: “Today is a proud day for TigerWit, we are launching our innovative blockchain-based trading app and partnering with Liverpool FC. TigerWit believes in a market that does not discriminate or play favourites. We have developed a pioneering blockchain-based settlement system that instills trust by delivering greater security and process efficiency. Trading should be, and can be, more transparent and fair for all traders, regardless of experience or the size of their account.”

Liverpool’s fanbase provides TigerWit with a high profile platform to drive downloads of the new trading app.

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at Liverpool, said: “Our worldwide following will generate global exposure for TigerWit, whilst their core markets of the UK, Europe and Asia each have tremendous numbers of Liverpool supporters. Through this new partnership with TigerWit, we look forward to marketing activations, which help offer our fans activities and experiences to bring them even closer to the club.”
