March 28 – Seventeen counties have expressed their interest in staging one of UEFA’s youth tournaments in 2021 and 2022. They must submit their bid dossiers by June 28.

The tournaments include the U-19 European Championship, the U-17 European Championship and both the women’s equivalents.

UEFA opened the bidding procedure for these finals on January 11, setting a February deadline for countries to express their interest in hosting a competition. The 17 countries, including a joint bid by Spain and Andorra, now have until June to work out the detail of their bids.

The successful hosts will be announced on September 24 once the UEFA Executive Committee have made their final decisions.

This summer Italy will stage the U-21 European championship across multiple cities with 12 participants.

The 17 bidding countries are: Albania, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Andorra.
