June 25 – Germany’s Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 have reported that 18,885,620 tickets were sold for matches in the 2018-19 season – the second highest figure on record.
The record for tickets sold was in the 2016-17 season – 19,049,362.
The Bundesliga is still the best attended of all Europe’s top tier leagues with an average gave of 42,738, a 2.6% decline on the previous season.
This decline was offset by the 8.6% boost in Bundesliga 2 ticket sales to 18,980 tickets per match – the third-highest figure in the history of this league.
