Five bids declared for U-20 Mens World Cup

July 7 – FIFA has confirmed that eight countries have expressed an interest in bidding for the 2021 edition of its men’s under-20 World Cup.

Brazil, Indonesia and Peru have said they want to stage the event individually while Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates would be interested in bidding together, as would Myanmar and Thailand.

This means there would be five bids maximum, three from the Asian confederation.

The deadline to submit bids is August 30, with the host expected to be appointed by the FIA Council later this year.
