Going to Hells: Gunners go local with Camden Town Brewery deal

July 23 – Arsenal have gone local with their latest sponsor partner. Camden Town Brewery, which has become the club’s Official Beer Partner in the UK and Ireland in a three-year deal.

Camden Town Brewery beer will be sold in the Emirates Stadium from the start of this season. The challenger beer brand – it was founded in 2010 and initially brewed by Jasper Cuppaidge in his Hampstead pub The Horseshoe, before moving to the Victorian railway arches underneath Kentish Town West Station. It now brews in Enfield, ironically not far from Spurs’ training ground.

Camden Town Brewery will open its sponsorship with a supporter competition offering a season ticket, a free beer at every home match and a bar tab in the Camden Town Brewery bar.

The brewer will also have a package of rights across digital, social and online platforms. Bar branding will feature throughout Emirates Stadium and Champions Bar will be transformed into a Camden Town Brewery tavern.

Jasper Cuppaidge, Camden Town Brewery Founder, said: “If you’d have told me 10 years ago that the beer I was creating in my basement in North London would one day be the beer of Arsenal Football Club – the club I love, I would have thought you were crazy, but I would have loved the idea of it! The partnership with Arsenal marks a huge moment both for me and for the entire team at Camden Town Brewery and we can’t wait to share our great beers and a better beer experience with all of the supporters like myself.”

The Enfield brewery is the largest brewery to be built in London in more than 30 years and brews  four beers, including its award-winning hells lager. It also brews seasonal beers throughout the year, including one off limited edition and collaboration beers.

Arsenal Commercial Director, Peter Silverstone, said: “We are always working to improve the matchday experience at Emirates Stadium, so to partner with the local and hugely renowned Camden Town Brewery is very exciting. Camden’s enthusiasm is infectious and their desire to support our fans is clear to see through their incredible competition offer to kick-start our partnership.”
