MLS to hydrate with BodyArmor from 2020 season

September 18 – Major League Soccer has signed a multi-year partnership with BodyArmor making the brand the league’s official sports drink partner in the US, starting with the 2020 season.

The deal will also include the LigaMx vs MLS club match-ups in the Leagues Cup and Campeones Cup.

The BodyArmor company logo and branding will feature pitchside at MLS games on coolers, cups, squirt bottles and towels. The agreement will also see the two partners collaborate on exclusive custom content featuring MLS players and BodyArmor athlete partners, said an MLS press release.

BodyArmor is now the number sports drink sold in US convenience stores and predicted to surpass $700 million in retail sales by the end of 2019.

“BodyArmor is America’s new leader in sports hydration and they are a great fit for Major League Soccer – the League for a new North America,” said MLS senior VP of Business Development Carter Ladd.

The Leagues Cup final will be played in Las Vegas September 18.
