Pressing matters: Roma boost media output with Gazzetta deal

October 31 – AS Roma have teamed up with Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport until June 2021.

As a result of the new deal, Italy’s leading sports daily will publish more in-depth and complete coverage about the Rome-based Seria A outfit, both online and in print. The parties also committing to cross-promotional initiatives that will target both newspaper’s readers and Roma’s supporters.

Co-director of La Gazzetta dello Sport Stefano Barigelli said that the deal was “an important step in the expansion process of the newspaper” and added that the newspaper’s position would be reinforced “both on newsstands and digital.”

On Wednesday, AS Roma defeated Udinese 0-4 to move into fourth position in the Seria A. Justin Kluivert, Nicolo Zaniolo, Aleksandar Kolarov and Chris Smalling scored for Roma, who had Federico Fazio sent off at the half-hour mark. On Saturday, Roma host Napoli.
