Eredivisie feeds its sponsorship wheels with Deliveroo deal

March 2 – Holland’s Eredivisie launched a new partnership at the weekend with new ‘Official Food Deliver Partner’ Deliveroo giving fans €2.50 discount on every Deliveroo order.

The Eredivisie is the latest partnership for Deliveroo who have rapidly built a football sponsorship footprint that includes The FA Cup (England), La Liga (Spain), FIGC (Italy) and Paris Saint-Germain (France).

The Eredivisie will be the marketing focus of Deliveroo’s expansion into more cities in the Netherlands over the coming months.

Jasper Hunting, Director Brand Partnerships at Eredivisie, said: “Watching an Eredivisie match together with friends and family often goes hand in hand with enjoying a delicious meal. Deliveroo makes it easy for fans to not miss a thing while they are watching their favourite team playing.”

Deliveroo says it will work with a number of their restaurant partners to create a selection of bespoke football dishes and will also run competitions so that both Deliveroo customers and riders can win free tickets to Eredivisie matches. The partnership will be visible on Deliveroo riders’ kits and bags, as well as feature in Deliveroo’s upcoming advertising campaigns.

Deliveroo will be the seventh official partner of the Eredivisie alongside main sponsor, KPN and the social partner, Vriendenloterij.
