Arsenal lead Premier League clubs as training grounds plan to partially re-open

April 27 – The resumption of the Premier League may be some time off yet but Arsenal’s players were set to return to  light training sessions from today.

Players will undertake individual running in line with government coronavirus regulations.

Despite the partial reopening of Arsenal’s training facility no group training sessions will be allowed, with only small numbers being permitted on site at a time and the players banned from socialising with each other.

All the buildings will remain locked so each player has to arrive in their kit and shower and change at home.

“Access will be limited, carefully managed and social distancing will be maintained,” said a club spokesman.

“Players will travel alone, do their individual workout and return home.”
