Everton women sign shirt deals with MegaFon and Yota in time for Sunday’s FA Cup Final

October 29 – Women’s Super League side Everton have announced new shirt and sleeve sponsors in time for the Women’s FA Cup Final on Sunday against Manchester City at Wembley.

Digital and telecommunications company MegaFon, who are currently on the sleeve of Everton Women’s shirts as well as men’s first team training kits, will now move to the main shirt sponsorship position, becoming the women’s team’s principal partner. Mobile virtual network operator Yota – part of the MegaFon Group – will take the sleeve position. Previously the omen’s team, like the men’s, had betting brand SportPesa as their shirt sponsor.

Everton said the new deal is the biggest sponsorship to date for the women’s team that is currently sitting in second place in the WSL.

Everton have made a significant investment in their women’s team. One of the eight founding members of the WSL, the club has allocated increased budget to the first team, moved to a new purpose-built stadium at Walton Hall Park, and developed a commercial strategy focussed on the women’s team.

No value or term was given for the deal.
