Fenway or the highway? Klopp not under pressure from Liverpool owners

March 9 – Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is not under pressure from the club’s American owners despite the Premier League defending champion’s dramatic collapse in form.

Klopp has admitted that he is enduring one of the lowest points of his managerial career after an unprecedented sequence of six successive home defeats, the latest of which came with a 1-0 loss to lowly Fulham.

Liverpool have fallen to eighth in the table, having been top on December 27 but English reports suggest Klopp will not be shown the door by Fenway Sports despite crashing out of the title race with the stark possibility of even finishing outside the Champions League spots.

Klopp insisted last week that Liverpool would be strong enough to withstand a year outside the elite competition and Fenway are reported see the situation the same way given that key players such as Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson will be back from injury.
