Man Utd will have 2,000 tickets for Europa League final, if they complete their Italian job

May 4 – UEFA have launched a limited tickets sales process for the Europa League final in Poland’s Gdansk where up to 9,500 fans will be allowed to attend the showpiece match, following confirmation by local authorities.

In a statement UEFA said: “The Polish authorities have confirmed to UEFA a capacity of 25% of the stadium or up to 9,500 spectators. Supporters from abroad will have to comply with border entry restrictions and requirements that will be in force at the time of the final as no exemptions will be granted to ticket holders.”

On Monday, tickets were put on sale on the governing body’s official website, with sales running until Friday May 7, 2021. Successful applicants will be chosen by ballot. The statement also said that “ UEFA will reimburse the full price of the ticket to successful buyers, should a reduction to the stadium capacity be announced by the local authorities at a later stage.”

Tickets will be available from €40 with a category 1 ticket costing as much as €130. Two thousand tickets will be on sale for the general public, with the two finalists receiving 2,000 tickets each.

Manchester United have all but booked their place in the final following a resounding 6-2 win in the first leg of their semi-final with AS Roma whereas Arsenal have it all to do after they slumped to a 2-1 first leg defeat against Villareal and their former coach Unai Emery.

Gdansk had been due to stage the final in 2020, but last season the Europa League final rounds were moved to Germany because of the global health crisis.
