August 24 – Sportswear brand and ball supplier Kelme has become the Official Global Supporter of the AFC’s National Team Competitions in a deal that includes providing the official match ball for the AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The deal with Kelme covers the 2021 to 2024 rights cycle and will see Kelme provide sports apparel and accessories for the AFC’s national team competitions, including the Qatar 2022 qualifiers, the Asian Cup 2023 in China, the Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 as well as the AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022.
Kelme has partnerships with leagues and clubs in China including the China Women’s Super League clubs, Chinese League One, China League Two and others. Kelme also partners a number of La Liga First and Second Division clubs.

Patrick Murphy, CEO at Football Marketing Asia, who negotiated the deal as the AFC’s exclusive commercial partner, emphasised the collaboration with Kelme on bringing unique experiences to fans of Asian football through digital and traditional channels, and in particular with the upcoming Asian Cup in China in 2023.
