Bournemouth start hunt for new stadium site as Vitality talks go flat

December 12 – Premier League AFC Bournemouth is looking for a site to build a new stadium that the club could move to as early as the 2020/21 season. Locked into the smallest stadium in the Premier League – Dean Court, named the Vitality Stadium under a sponsorship deal – capacity would raise from the current 11,464 to 25,000, according to local reports.

High-flying Seagulls add £25.9m in losses as they soar towards Premier League

December 8 – Brighton and Hove Albion, pressing hard for a place in the Premier League for a second consecutive season, have highlighted the financial balancing-act facing upwardly mobile clubs with ambitions of top-tier football. The high-flying Seagulls from the English south coast have reported a pre-tax loss for the year to 30 June 2016 so substantial that it outstripped turnover for the same period.
