AirGoal extends China deal to first team as Uzbeks land in Wuhan in chase of 2018 spot

August 31 – The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has announced AirGoal as the new equipment supplier for China’s national team.

The length and financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the new deal will see the Guangzhou-based manufacturer serve as the new equipment supplier of China’s men’s national team.

AirGoal already had existing partnerships with China’s U20 and U17 teams.

“AirGoal has already provided highly esteemed services for the Chinese Olympic team, U20 team and U17 team in the past four months,” said CFA executive member Gu Jianming. “I feel really grateful for AirGoal to provide full-service quality football equipment for Team China. This will be quite helpful in coaches’ professional training of the team.”

China are unlikely to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. With just six points they are bottom of their Group A in the final round of Asia’s World Cup qualifiers. Marcelo Lippi’s team can keep their chances alive on Thursday as they entertain Uzbekistan at the Wuhan Sports Centre Stadium on Thursday. The Uzbeks are seeking a historic ticket to Russia and are still very much in the 2018 qualification race with 12 points.
