Life ban for penalty pointing Moroccan referee

December 30 – A Moroccan referee has been banned for life for awarding four highly questionable penalties, three of them for the same team, in a domestic league match.

Hicham Tiazi, 44 (pictured),was kicked out following “gross errors” of arbitration that “affected the outcome of the match” between Olympique Khouribga and Youssoufia de Berrechid, according to the Moroccan FA.

Khouribga Olympic, recipient of three of the penalties, won 4–1.

Olympique Khouribga are 12th in the league standings while Youssef Rachid are one place off the bottom in 15th.
