Euronics Group plugs into growing power of UEFA Women’s Football

May 20 – Electronics and home appliance retailer Euronics Group has signed a sponsorship deal for UEFA Women’s Football in a deal starting with the 2021-22 season and which will run until 2025.

Euronics Group joins Visa, Pepsi, Just Eat Takeaway.com and Hublot as UEFA women’s football official partners.

The sponsorship covers Women’s Champions League, the Women’s EURO, the Women’s Under-19 and Under-17 Championships, and the Women’s Futsal EURO. as well as UEFA’s Together #WePlayStrong programme, which is aimed at encouraging more girls and women to play football.

The Euronics Group has more than  8,500 outlets in 37 different countries across Europe and Asia. Turning over more than €18 billion annually, the deal will give 22 international Euronics Group members a rolling package of sponsorship opportunities.

“We are delighted to be welcoming the Euronics Group as a UEFA sponsor for the first time, and for such an ambitious brand to choose to partner with us shows once again the speed at which women’s football is developing and what an attractive proposition it is, ” said Nadine Kessler (pictured left), UEFA’s chief of women’s football, who yesterday was on hand for the launch of the Women’s Euro 2022 ticketing programme in England that is targeting more than 700,000 ticket sales.
