LFP renews Ligue 1 naming rights with Uber Eats in €15m+ deal

November 10 – France’s Professional Football League (LFP) has extended the Ligue 1 naming rights agreement with food delivery service Uber Eats until the end of the 2023/24 season.

At the start of the 2020/21 season, Uber Eats became the title sponsor of the French top flight, succeeding Conforma and the LFP has renewed the partnership for another two seasons. The new deal includes naming rights to the eLigue 1 and is reportedly worth €15 million.

“This strengthening of our partnership with Uber Eats confirms the seriousness of the major partners of the LFP, who believe in the potential of the championship and wish to join us in its future development,” said LFP president Vincent Labrune.

“This major agreement also reinforces the new momentum experienced by Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season with the presence of major French and international stars (players and coaches), a recurring offensive spectacle and renewed European competitiveness.”

French club football was hit by the collapse of the media rights deal with Spanish agency Mediapro this year and the financial fallout of the global health crisis.

“Through this extension, we want to continue to support French football and be part of the daily life of the French by being a long-term one,” said general manager of Uber Eats France Bastien Pahus.
