November 4 – Romania and Croatia have been ordered to partially close their stadium for their next UEFA fixtures. They were also slapped with fines following crowd disturbances in September Nations League matches.

At their next home match, the Romanian Football Federation will be forced to shut off at least 2000 seats. The federation will also have to pay €30,000 in fines.

The punishment comes following supporters’ disorder at the Romania vs Bosnia and Herzegovina game in September. “Said partial stadium closure is suspended for a probationary period of two years, starting from the date of the present decision,” said UEFA.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation was fined €10,000 and will not be allowed to sell tickets to away supporters for their next fixture following racist behaviour at the match.

UEFA also acted against the racist behaviour of Croatian fans in Austria in September. The Croatians will have to partially close their stadium and pay a fine of €20,000 and a further €23,125 for further disturbances.

Elsewhere, in European club football, FC Nantes and Freiburg were punished with partial stadium closure, fines and a ban on selling tickets to away fans in their next European match following a Europa League fixture in October. Cluj will have to pay €10,000 euros and partially close their stadium after racist behaviour from their fans when hosting Slavia Praha.
