January 18 – The English FA’s education arm, England Football Learning, has boosted its learning resources and courses via its learn.englandfootball.com website.

The platform has increased the number of ongoing learning modules, webinars and workshops, while enhanced resources are offered across coaching, safeguarding, medical training and compliance.

Many of the courses are delivered via online learning, opening up the accessibility of the courses to coaches.

England Football Learning currently supports 140,000 active coaches from grassroots to the elite. Courses range from the free EE Playmaker by England Football entry level course, through to the elite level UEFA Pro License.

Lucy Pearson, Director of FA Education said: “There are over 15.5million people playing football at differing levels in England, and it’s vital that we provide the resources and support for the ongoing development of the coaching community. We want to ensure the successful and positive delivery of sessions up and down the country, week-in week-out.

“…Essentially the platform gives coaches and the wider workforce 24/7 access to a range of learning resources to enable them to continue developing their skills and improve the football experience for the players they work with.”
