Mastercard and UEFA clock up 30 years of marriage with another ‘priceless’ renewal

June 6 – Mastercard has renewed its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League for the 2024-27 commercial cycle in a deal that also includes sponsorship rights for the UEFA Super Cup in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

The renewal comes as UEFA and Mastercard celebrated their 30-year partnership at a special ceremony at this year’s final. Mastercard has activated its marketing around the ‘priceless’ theme, locking in fan experiences.

Mastercard will continue to offer children the opportunity to become player mascots as well as continue its collaboration with the UEFA Foundation for Children on countless initiatives.

As a proud sponsor of the UEFA Champions League for 30 years, we have helped create incredible experiences on and off the pitch and witnessed the intense passion that fans have for this competition,” said Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer of Mastercard.

“Connecting our cardholders to their passions – and each other – is at the heart of our brand, and we are thrilled to continue bringing fans closer to the UEFA Champions League action in the years to come.”

Mastercard joins Heineken, Just Eat Takeaway.com and Pepsi as UEFA Champions League sponsors from 2024–27.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Mastercard until 2027. For over three decades, Mastercard has been an unwavering supporter of the UEFA Champions League, bringing fans and cardholders priceless moments and unparalleled experiences. Entering this new era of UEFA men’s club competitions, we’re excited to continue this extraordinary journey together.”
