March 29 – FIFA has stripped Indonesia of hosting the U-20 World Cup 2023 following turmoil over the participation of Israel in the finals.

March 27 – FIFA have postponed the U-20 World Cup draw amid a protest against Israel’s participation in the tournament.
August 22 – Brazil, Spain, Japan and the Netherlands have all booked their spots for the semi-finals of the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica after dramatic and often tense last-eight encounters.
August 17 – The Official Emblem of the U-20 World Cup Indonesia 2023 has been launched, coinciding with the country’s independence day.
June 18 – Ukraine won a maiden U-20 word title after rallying from a goal down to defeat South Korea 3-1 in Poland. Korea’s Kangin Lee won the tournament’s golden ball as best player.
August 16 – The Women’s U-20 World Cup has reached the business end of the competition with heavyweight quarter-finals set to decide the last four. Hosts France take on reigning champions Korea DPR, Spain meet Nigeria and Germany face Japan. Debutants the Netherlands play England in the last quarter-final.

May 19 – This Saturday the FIFA U20 World Cup kicks off with Germany and Venezuela playing the opening match in Daejeon, South Korea, thought the tournament favourites are a two other teams from Europe and South America – France and Uruguay.
