October 29 – Four of FIFA’s biggest sponsors have once again denounced the ongoing corruption scandal and say the current reform process being spearheaded by former Olympics guru Francois Carrard is too much of an inside job and needs far more independence.
Everyone knows that putting living things in a vacuum is not to be advised. Apparently the tongue dries up and becomes covered in ice as consciousness is lost. Expulsion of digestive gases causes unpleasant things to happen with bodily fluids. The entire body then swells like a balloon and eventually the subject suffers fatal cardiac arrest. It is very nasty indeed.

October 29 – Michel d’Hooghe, Belgium’s long-serving FIFA executive committee member, has dismissed Sepp Blatter’s remarkable disclosure of a fixed agreement to hand the 2018 World Cup to Russia, insisting no pre-vote deal took place.
October 29 – Jose Maria Marin, who organised last year’s World Cup in Brazil, has finally agreed to be extradited from Switzerland to face corruption charges in the United States, the last of the so-called ‘Zurich Seven’ indicted in May to have the result of extradition hearings announced.
October 29 – England’s Football Association is to consult its lawyers after suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter’s remarkable disclosure that there was a fixed agreement for the 2018 World Cup to go to Russia even before the vote took place.

October 28 – Ahead of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections, Kenyan football has descended further into chaos as FKF President Sam Nyamweya (pictured) and the current FKF leadership try to push through their plan to expand the Kenya Premier League (KPL), whilst the South Coast of the FKF has vowed to hold the elections on Thursday, saying the mandate of existing office-holders runs out on that day.

October 28 – UEFA decided on Tuesday to initiate a full investigation of the incident in which black fans of Dynamo Kiev were attacked by ultras of their own team whilst the Director of the Olympic Stadium, where the incident took place, issued a statement saying his words had been taken out of context and there was no intention to segregate fans on the basis of race.
