April 1 – Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will take their fierce north London rivalry overseas for the first time when they face-off in a pre-season friendly in Hong Kong this summer. The clash will be played at the newly opened Kai Tak Stadium on July 31, marking the first North London Derby to be hosted outside of the UK.

April 1 – UEFA has confirmed the 13 referees who will take charge at Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland this summer. The tournament, running from July 2 to 27, will feature a hand-picked selection of Europe’s top match officials alongside a special guest from South America.

April 1 – The 16-nation AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2025 kicks off Thursday, April 3 with the top eight finishers qualifying for the first of the expanded annual 48-team U-17 World Cups to be played in Qatar this November.
