Deutsche Telekom agrees service, broadcast and sponsorship deals with UEFA for Euro 2024

August 23 – German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom will provide the digital infrastructure for Euro 2024, as well as becoming a national partner and a media rights and broadcast partner.

Deutsche Telekom will broadcast all 51 matches in Germany – to be played from June 14 to July 14 – as well as being the presenting sponsor of UEFA’s flag-bearer programme.

The broadcast deal will see all games available on the Deutsche Telekom platform, MagentaTV, with four group stage matches and one round of 16 match to be shown exclusively in Germany exclusively on the channel.

As telecoms service partner Deutsche Telekom will connect the the 10 host venues, the 24 team base camps and training bases, as well as all official fan zones in the host cities to UEFA’s International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in Leipzig.

Deutsche Telekom will also set up and operate the IT networks (LAN and WLAN) in the stadiums for transmission of TV pictures and media communication, as well as incorporating UEFA EURO 2024 headquarters and its data centres into the overall network.

As well as UEFA’s flag-bearer programme and recruiting the national flag-bearers for all matches, the sponsorship package includes perimeter board exposure, digital rights on UEFA’s platforms visible in Germany, and use of the UEFA EURO 2024 logo. In the host city fan zones, Deutsche Telekom will show all matches via MagentaTV at the official public viewings.

Deutsche Telekom joins German railway transportation provider Deutsche Bahn and insurance company Ergo as EURO 2024 national sponsors.
