The Dominican Republic have made history by qualifying for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup for the first time. This is a landmark achievement for the men’s national team, as it is the first major tournament in their football history.
The Dominican Republic will compete in Group A alongside Mexico, Costa Rica, and Suriname.
They qualified via a series of strong performances in the 2024–25 CONCACAF Nations League, where they their topped League B with a perfect record (6 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses, 27 goals scored, 4 conceded). This qualified them directly for the Gold Cup finals without the need to go through the Preliminary Play-offs.
However in current Concacaf 2026 World Cup qualification they have been eliminated from the final group round of 12 teams, having lost to both Honduras and Jamaica.
