November 8 – The International Labour Organization has halted a potential investigation into Qatar’s employment practises after the government in Doha introduced legislation to protect foreign workers and pledged further reforms.
November 8 – Gulf Cup organisers have set Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain a November 13 deadline to say whether they are prepared to take part in December’s tournament in Qatar with whom they have cut all diplomatic and commercial ties.

November 7 – Gianni Infantino’s recent observation that FIFA will be examining all its competitions to see how they best fit into the international calendar has taken an interesting twist with the disclosure that the new Nations League tournament could be expanded beyond Europe and be turned into an ambitious global event.
November 7 – After a lengthy campaign for better treatment of its members, the world players’ union FIFpro has dropped its legal bid against FIFA to outlaw football’s transfer system believing it has won significant concessions.
November 7 – Manchester City and Spurs have the most valuable squads in Europe, according to research by the CIES Football Observatory. Barca come third in the ranking with Chelsea in fourth spot. All of their squads are valued at over €1 billion.
November 6 – Maltese-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) provider Oulala has expanded into Africa with its business-to-business solution licensing its platform to Safaribet Kenya.
November 7 – Manchester City has added PepsiCo’s Gatorade as a global sponsor in a multi-year deal. Gatorade will become the Club’s Official Sports Nutrition Partner. The partnership officially began last weekend.

November 3 – Carlos Cordeiro’s entry into the running to become the next president of the US Soccer Federation (USSF) could signify the reign of incumbent president Sunil Gulati is coming to an end after 12 years in charge.
