October 10 – Transfer Matching System GmbH (FIFA TMS) announced on Wednesday the launch of a new Premium Service – the first Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS), designed to facilitate domestic transfers for member associations and clubs acting in the same jurisdiction.

DTMS is modelled on the compulsory ITMS (International Transfer Matching System), which is provided to over 200 Associations and 6,500 clubs for cross-border player transfers and fully integrated with it to provide a streamlined user experience.

According to FIFA TMS, which was set up as a subsidiary company of FIFA in 2007, the company has been working on the new system with a number of Associations and the new system is expected to go live some time in 2014.

DTMS was developed in response to feedback from users of the ITMS and is expected to lead to improvements in the areas of governance, efficient management of transfers and effective data management.

Governance will be improved through increased adherence to transfer regulations with system-based processes and data-driven analysis and a stronger role for Associations in club’s transfer processes.

The system lead to greater efficiency due to the speed and reliability of online communications, automated matching of transfer data and fast-track creation of counter instructions.

The system should also help minimise physical document storage and search efforts, provide a complete picture of all professional player transfers with potential to replicate automatically to a national registration system and make the production of statistics and reports on transfer activity far simpler.
