December 23 – Bulgarian airline company Balkanian Airways has become one of the main sponsors of second tier French side Tours FC. The club and the company have signed a cooperation agreement. The Balkanian Airways logo has already put on the team’s shirts and stadium as well.
Daniel Dimov, owner of Balkanian Airwars, had originally intended to sponsor lowly Rouen, but ultimately decided to switch to the more renowned Tours FC.
Currently Tours sits in fifth position in the second division of French football and has a real chance for promotion to Ligue 1.
It is believed that Dimov already has provided nearly €1 million for new players during the winter transfer window which opens on the January 1.
The sponsorship extends beyond just a marketing partnership. Dimov intends to attract several leading Bulgarian players and some of the names mentioned include Valeri Bojinov and George Kakalov.
Dimov is one of the founders of Balkanian Airways. Balkanian Airways, a private airline based in Plovdiv, offering private and business flights. The company is rapidly developing with the increased demand for fast and reliable air transportation between all points in Europe and the Mediterranean.
