California dreaming: Liverpool push tickets for US matches as ICC pre-sales launch

April 7 – 2016 International Champions Cup organisers have launched pre-sale ticket sales for matches taking place in the US summer with Liverpool being the first to announce ticketing plans for their two games in California in July.

Liverpool will face Chelsea at the 92,500 capacity Rose Bowl in Pasadena, the home of college football side UCLA, on July 27. On July 30 they face AC Milan at the 68,500 capacity Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara.

Liverpool will play a third fixture in the tournament – against Barcelona – in Europe on August 6 before the Premier League season starts August 13.

Liverpool fans can access the pre-sale tickets for the US games at http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0B00506FA00D31D9 using the pre-sale code LFC2016.

The fourth edition of the ICC has been expanded to 10 teams – Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain, Liverpool, Chelsea, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Leicester City and Celtic. Not all the games will be played in the US. Celtic will play Leicester in Glasgow in Barcelona in Dublin, while Barcelona will play Leicester in Stockholm.

The ICC has also expanded to include games on to other continents with standalone tournaments in Australia and China. Manchester United and Manchester City will play in China with Borussia Dortmund, while Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Melbourne Victory will play in Australia.
