October 31 – Premier League Bournemouth have launched a new app with takeaway food delivery service Deliveroo and incorporating a fantasy football and predictor game. The app has been developed by Irish fan engagement company Sportego.
The branded Bournemouth fan app gives fans the chance to win Deliveroo vouchers through the game. Sportego says that ”new features will be added over the course of the season as the app evolves with quizzes and probability widgets coming soon.”
Winners of the fantasy pick 5 and predictor games within the app receive Deliveroo vouchers. The app was launched this weekend on Apple and Android platforms.
Rob Mitchell, commercial director at AFC Bournemouth, said: “We are looking forward to the launch of this fan app and giving our supporters the opportunity to compete in the popular Pick5 fantasy football and score predictor game.
“The app will also offer another digital platform for fans to connect with one another in the build-up to each of our matches.”
Sportego base their fan engagement strategies around “gamifying” match days. The firm has worked with West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, Birmingham City, Chesterfield and Bury on fan products.
