Fans attack Jordan Larsson as Helsingborgs relegated in closing minutes

November 21 – Two late goals that relegated Swedish club Helsingborgs sparked a pitch invasion win which coach Henrik Larsson and his son, Jordan were abused and attacked by fans. Jordan Larsson, who had earlier scored to put Helsingborgs in fronts, had his shirt ripped off.

Swedish legend Henrik Larsson, manager of the club at which he was twice a player, didn’t see the incident in which his son was attacked but said that he will “not walk alone” in his hometown now and plans to send Jordan away on holiday.

“I didn’t see that they attacked Jordan but if I had, I would have gone in there towards him. I was not going to run from there,” he said. “If they turn on me, they turn on me. I had been beaten,” he said.

Larsson has been manager of the five times Swedish champions since January 2015 and says he will stay at the club.

Helsingborgs lost the home leg of their play-off to Halmstads with two late goals in the 87th and 90th minutes from Marcus Mathisen.
