Toulouse players bite the bullet over drive-by pellet gun attack

April 4 – French top-flight club Toulouse have sacked two players for their alleged role in a pellet gun attack.

On-loan forward Odsonne Edouard (pictured), 19, is being sent back to parent club Paris-St Germain while teammate Mathieu Cafaro, 20, who was with him at the time “will be sacked too”, according to agency reports.

The alleged victim said he was shot in the ear with a pellet when a car pulled up by him as he was out walking.

“What Odsonne did is inadmissable, scandalous behaviour. For one he won’t play again for us and secondly we’re sending him back to Paris Saint-Germain,” Toulouse boss Olivier Sadran told RMC radio.

“He was with another player and he will be sacked too, it’s unspeakable,” added Sadran, without referring to Cafaro by name.
