Liverpool provide best value in Premier League, Man Utd worst

PL money ball

May 16 – Liverpool are the best value team for entertainment this season across all four English professionals divisions, according to an analysis by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk. In contrast Manchester United offer the worst value for entertainment at Old Trafford.

The research looked at each of the 92 clubs in the top four divisions in England to see which offered best value for money when it came to goals scored at home. Taking the average price of a match day ticket, a pint, pie and programme at each home game and the number of goals scored at each ground, a value per goal was created.

Liverpool deliver top value with £3.63 per match (60 home goals), while Man Utd are at a miserly £15.36 with only 36 goals this campaign.

Chelsea fans also had to pay a small fortune for goals at Stamford Bridge this season at £11.58 per goal – but they were compensated with a Premier League title.

The worst value team at home in the UK was Oldham, with fans paying almost £20 per goal (£19.89), with Leeds United closely behind with a goal at Elland Road costing £19.36.
