February 12 – InterMilan have become the latest club to set up its own esports team, signing two players in a collaboration with QLASH.
‘Crazy fat gamer’ Campagnani, one of the leading eSports football gamers in the world, and Luigi ‘Kirito Yuuki OO Loffredo, one of Italy’s hottest esports prospects, will lead the Nerazzurri.
The Inter eSports team will focus on football games, including eSerie A TIM, which will see the two pro players joined by two amateur players who will qualify via an online process organised by Lega Serie A.
The team will not just compete in the major competitions but will also engage with Inter fans and gamers via a series of other activities and challenges.
QLASH creates and supports community gaming and eSports initiatives as well as offering a training base and support for gamers a facility that has accommodation, a gym and dedicated gaming areas. Its teams have won a number of global gaming titles.
