Cazoo to accelerate Spanish expansion with Real Sociedad shirt deal 

February 8 – Online car retailer Cazoo will become the main sponsor of LaLiga’s Real Sociedad from the start of next season. The deal will see the brand take the club’s front of shirt logo position.

Cazoo will use the new sponsorship to drive its expansion in Spain. It launches its brand in the country in the first half of this year, having recently acquired Barcelona-based Swipcar.

Cazoo has recently launched in France and Germany. No value was given for the Cazoo sponsorship which was described as a multi-year deal.

Founded in 2018, Cazoo has already sold more than 50,000 cars in the UK since its launch and employs over 3,800 people across the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Last August it listed on the NYSE, raising more than $800 million to fund expansion of the brand.

Real Sociedad currently sit 7th in LaLiga and are challenging for qualification to European club competition next season.
