LaLiga grows its importance within Brand Spain eco-system

April 1 – LaLiga’s brand is growing, according to the latest Brand Finance annual report that ranks brand strength by countries.

The league has moved up the ranking of Spanish company international brand strength from 50th position to 34th, putting it ahead of companies like Telecinco, Red Eléctrica, Carbonell, San Miguel, Cruzcampo and Bankinter.

Ángel Fernández, Head of Global Brand & Strategy at LaLiga explained that “Despite the limitations that Spanish football has experienced due to the pandemic, we are proud to see how LaLiga remains one of the most relevant organisations in our country, not only in the sports and entertainment sector.”

The brand value of LaLiga has grown by 4.2% in 2021, compared to 2020, and 34% compared to 2019.
