AFC draw centralised group qualifiers for Bahrain U17 and Uzbekistan U20 finals

May 24 – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held the draw for the group stages of two of its men’s age group competitions in Kuala Lumpur today.

There were 44 nations in the group draws for both

the U20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022 Qualifiers and the U17 Asian Cup Bahrain 2023 Qualifiers.

U20 groups will be played September 10 to 18, with the 10 group winners and the five best runners-up joining hosts Uzbekistan in the 2023 Finals.

AFC U17 Asian Cup Bahrain 2023

The U17 draw saw the 44 nations divided into 10 centralised qualifying groups, six of which will feature four teams, while four groups will include five sides. TheQualifiers will be played from October 1 to 9, 2022.

Defending champions Japan, who have won the title three times, were drawn in Group A alongside hosts Jordan, Syria, Philippines and Turkmenistan.
